Great Notley Falcons v Sporting 77 Iguanas

The Falcons scored 2 early goals. Undeterred the Iguanas got back into the game. After the early set backs, they styarted to play some good football. Jake was strong on the ball carrying the ball from one end to the other. Ryan was finding space and making good forward runs. Rafe playing in defence was making good last ditch tackles, and later showed some good skills up front. Zach starting in goal made some good saves and later on the pitch was strong in the tackle and good on the ball. Fearne showed some good skills and protected the ball well, but could not convert her scoring chances. Matteo in defence was solid, thwarting the Falcons attacks and later in goal made some good saves.
After the early set-back Iguanas started to show what they could do, and before half-time Jake scored a hat-trick and Zach notched a well taken goal.

In the second half, neither side could score, but Falcons finshed with a flourish as Iguanas began to tire. They pulled 2 goals back, Jake scored his fourth to give Iguanas the lead again. But Falcons punished iguaas errors to score 3 goals. Iguanas pummelled the Notley goal, but the shots were either saved or hit the side netting.

For the first game they all played extremely well, but Jake was awarded man of the match for allround excellent display, as well as scoring 4 goals.
