Incredible performance from relentless Scorpions

Another match for the Scorpions today against unknown opposition but the boys looked raring to go after last weeks victory.

The game started well with both teams who were knocking the ball around well and an early clearance from Caspar and a nice piece of skill from Jake M at the other end set the tone for what would be an end to end match.

The Scorpions were looking sharp though and took the lead in just under 10 mins when Jake M and Jake B combined well, with the latter firing in an unstoppable shot into the top left corner. A Great finish and a great start to the game by the blues.

The rest of the half continued to be end to end. Tor was being called on to make some top class saves yet again and the whole defence/team working hard to protect their clean sheet. Going forward we continued to look at threat, Jake M with some more trickery on the wing firing in a great cross was unlucky not to see someone on the end of it and Jake B and Mason came close with good efforts. A frantic first half finished 1-0 but it was close and this match was by no means over. 1-0 at HT

The second half was much of the same but the Scorpions were unlucky to concede early when a long range effort skipped of the wet surface and found its way into the net. Not deterred the boys continued to battle well with Lucas getting stuck in against the tall Tigers centre midfielder and Conner, Poyraz and Caspar all continuing to work tirelessly at the back.

The Scorpions kept hunting for a 2nd, some half chances fell to Mason but all were saved by the keeper and Jake M with some lovely skill danced past four players only to see his shot saved - but the Scorpions finally restored their lead after a lovely through ball from Patrick found Jake M in space, his shot was well saved but Jayden was on hand to tuck the ball away - a great move and excellent centre forward play from Jayden - 2-1.

With the clock ticking down the game was wrapped up when Jayden was on hand to fire in another great finish giving the keeper no chance. 3-1 FT. A hard fought victory for the boys against tough opposition yet again. An excellent game to watch, well done.

Commended for his excellent through ball that found Jake M which led to the 2nd goal. Patrick keeps working hard in training and is always looking to improve and find a pass. Brilliant work today Patrick - Well done.

Scorpion of the match (Manager) - Jayden

Showcased his predator like instincts. Led the line and was always an outlet, stretching the Dunmow defence back. Jayden was always lively and scored two excellent centre forward goals today. Well done.
