Great win for the Scorpions.

A trip on the road to SWF today, a ground that we have always struggled to play our best on with the Scorpions looking to get their first ever win on the 3G pitch.

The game started brightly for the Scorpions and some neat play saw early chances for Mason and Jake but both had their shots saved. It wasn't long though before the Scorpions opened their account however, another nice piece of play from Jake finding Archie in the box and a low drilled shot rifled into the bottom corner to make it 1-0.

The Scorpions kept working hard and some high pressing from Jake was rewarded with a goal as he positioned his body to get a ricochet from the keepers clearance to make it 2-0 to the Scorpions.

SWF Reds remained very dangerous though and some good attacking play the home side resulted in a shot which Tor did amazingly well to claw away from point blank range. The Scorpions broke quickly and a lovely finish from Mason high into the corner of the net made it 3-0.

Another great save from Tor kept our opponents at bay but as they piled on the pressure they nicked two back before half time and it was all to play for in the second half - 3-2 HT

The second half saw SWF with the majority of the ball but some great defensive play from Poyraz and Caspar was keeping any clear cut chances to a minimum. A big chance fell to Archie that he put just wide of the post and the match was really on a knife's edge.

Just as the Scorpions were getting hold of the ball in the second half some more nice play from our opponents made it 3-3 and now it was impossible to call a winner. As the match was coming to an end some wonderful play from Caspar breaking from deep saw the Scorpions snatch victory as he rifled his shot into the bottom corner. Full time and 4-3 to the Blues!!

A very tough match today against very good opposition. We always seem to struggle on the artificial pitch but there was a fantastic team ethic today and we really ground out the win. Everyone played their part in the win with the goals being shared around, some incredible saves from Tor and some really hard working performances from Lucas and Patrick. Well done everyone

Scorpion of the match – Caspar

Worked so hard for the team today. Ran the ball out of defence on numerous occasions and kept getting his head up looking for the pass. A fantastic run and goal to seal victory the team at the death was the icing on the cake. Well done.
