A sloppy start and three early goals proved too big a deficit for the Scorpions to claw back.

After a delayed start to kick off the Scorpions seemed to lack focus and after some poor defending found themselves three goals adrift after only ten minutes. The Scorpions slowly started to find their way into the game, with George, Tor and Lucas much better at retaining possession for the team. A closer end to the half ended with a penetrating run from Jake through the Torquespeed defence, but a touch from the keeper saw his shot go agonising wide.

The second half was better for the Scorpions which saw very few attacks from the opposition. Caspar, Poyraz and Aurora all got stuck in trying to keep possession high up the pitch. Half way through the second half the pressure finally paid off, with Patrick showing great strength on the ball to fire his shot low into the goal. Charlie was only called into action a couple of times in the second half but was very assured when called upon.

A close match with the scoreline flattering our opposition a little. Unlucky Scorpions.

Player of the match - Jake. Showed excellent energy all over the pitch and didn't give the Torquespeed players any time on the ball. Had a good effort in the first half and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. Well done.
