Dragons den breached

Dragons v Dunmow United Tigers
Harrison (2)
A cold and wet morning awaited us at the Dragon's Den for our match against Dunmow United Tigers, a side we have yet to come face to face with.
The visitors started off strong and within 3 minutes of the starting whistle we found ourselves three goals behind! The Dragon's hadn't yet woke from their slumber and the opposition were lining up to score but the Dragon's kept their heads held high and battled on. 0-3.
It wasn't too long before the chances for us came thick and fast as Pearcey has a go at goal but it just goes wide at the post. A one on one with the keeper sees Harrisons attempt hit the post, likewise with a chance for Gus.
The Dragon's continued to work hard and got their reward. Gus with a fantastic run down the right hand side and a perfectly crossed ball meets Harrison who calmly tapped it into net. 1-3
With the Dragon's on the up a tussle in the oppositions defence saw the ball fall to Harrisons feet which he smashes home to pull the score to 2-3.
The Tigers weren't letting up and a shot blasted through was superbly saved by Roo. The counter attack meant that their keeper had to also make a save to stop us from scoring an equaliser.
Both teams continued to battle away to try and get back on the score sheet. Brilliant defending from Gus saw him win the ball and make a great run and pass through to Logan who puts it wide.
The Tigers looking dangerous again with another attempt at goal shooting past the front of goal just prior to half time.
Half time 2-3......
A great opening effort from the visitors hitting the crossbar. Some superb passing from the Dragon's sees us have more chances to equalise but we cant quite find the back of the net. A spillage from the keeper falls to Jenson who blasts it over the bar.
Some fantastic saves from Roo with his feet keeping us in the game after a barrage of attacks.
Early celebrations from the Tiger's coaching team were thwarted when the post saves their attempt to extend their lead. A crucial save from Roo followed.
It was however the visitors that were able to add to the score sheet when a shot in from a free kick trickled over the line. The Dragon's kept on going and some amazing defending meant we were able to not concede a further goal.
Logan passed off a glorious chance for us to fire in another goal when a great pass from Ryan meant he was able to take it round their defender but he hit the ball straight at the keeper.
The Tiger's looking dangerous again with their number 10 on the attack but he launches it over the bar. A few last minute corners from the visitors see out the game and we lose 2-4.
Considering the score line after just 3 minutes the Dragon's played a brilliant game of football and kept their heads held high the entire game.
Dragon of the week:
Josh Pearce - Josh played a vital part today in not only getting the ball forward but also defending well. One of his best games and a well deserved Dragon of the week.
