Remembrance Sunday and destination Dragons Den in Wethersfield for today's game. Before kick off both teams huddled round the circle to observe a minutes silence as we fell silent in remembrance, which was carried out in complete silence by all in attendence showing their respect.

The game started tightly in the opening minutes which was a sign of the next 35-40 minutes play we would witness. It was the Valley Green Dragons thats scored first tucking in a scramble in the penalty box. Our Dragons carried on their football and Angus would grab the equaliser with what is likely to be a contender for goal of the season! Gus met the ball with his head before taking the ball down with his feet, ghosted past 2 defenders and rifled the ball into the top corner from way outside the area, a superb goal! It was the home side with the momentum and Ryan, on from the bench, was dribbling down the left, winning a 50/50 challenge to get in on goal, his shot tucked under the advancing keeper had enough to cross the line for a 2-1 lead! The visitors turned attackers and Pearcy
was called upon in our goal to make several saves keeping us front. The visitors pressure would reward them eventually getting an equaliser just before the interval.

2-2 and all the play for in the second half. Captain Logan worked hard down the left getting us a corner almost immediately after the restart. Logan swung it in and after a bit of pin ball around the box the ball fell for Josh SB to slam home high into the net. Lead restored for now. The game would remain tightly contested but a neat piece of skill and through ball from the Valley Green defender cut us open at the back and the striker had a free shot at goal which Zack stood no chance of keeping out. 4 minutes to go the visitors got their noses ahead and despite our boys best efforts we couldn't grab an equaliser and suffered defeat.

Looking at our results, on home matches alone games are won or lost by a single goal its our away matches we really struggle. As hard as it seems now with the amount of games lost racking up, when the reshuffle happens we will definitely win more than we lose. Keep your heads up Dragons!
