Well that was a wet and windy morning away to Writtle! Preparing us for those cold Sunday mornings to come I think.
The fire hawks had a brilliant game today, putting together lots of passes and releasing the ball at the right time, calling for the ball and running into space making themselves available for the pass, some fancy footwork from some today too, it was great to see! It was a bit of a slow start for us really when it came down to getting the goals, we just couldn’t find the back of the net. Lots of chances though. Then Freya got the first goal and the girls were thrilled, I think that spurred them on to go ahead and get the great win they deserved. Our defence was strong and Writtle girls only had a couple of shots at goal! Poor Lola in the first half was getting chilly in the goal, Fearne and Selina went in goal the second half, the worst job on the wet days isn’t it! Especially if there isn’t much to do. Well done today fire hawks ?
