Today’s match played at the deanery against Colchester town.
The game started fast with the fire hawks going 2-0 up, despite this the girls hadn’t settled properly into the game yet, so the game was played in the middle of the pitch for a while. And then the fire hawks broke through and pulled it together and ended up working really well with a string of passes, brilliant assists for goals and great finishes. Power play was offered after 12 minutes, which Colchester took and then offered again 5 minutes into the second half and taken again. Therefore 9v7. The girls went on and scored another 6 goals after this. Despite the big score line the fire hawks still stayed professional, continued to pass, move and show great skill on the ball, they worked hard until that final whistle. The manager of the other team even commented on how advanced our girls were and how good their footwork is. Brilliant game today Fire hawks.
Player of the match- Annabel. Anabell's work rate today was second to none, the second she got on the pitch she was straight into the game. Making good passes and finding space, had a couple of shots on goal which went wide. Well done Annabel
